Is it difficult to make movies with more or less "political" topics in Iran, like the disadvantage of women and girls, and also get them to the cinema?
There is no restriction. You have the opportunity to pick those topics. II chose to tell his story. And there are more movies that have this topic of the discrimination agaoinst women, so there really is no restriction.
Which movie did you finish first, "Hayat" or "Bazi"? For both had to be finished at the same time.
"Bazi" first, and then "Hayat".
Which life of a child in the movies can be compared to a child's life in Iran today?
Both and none. Those are stories I am telling. I took something from reality, but I also made up some things. Ich think to only show, what reality is like, is not so interesting. Like a picture, that you draw. You have to add certain colours and shapes. it's the same with story-telling.
Which shot was more difficult or took longer?
More difficult and time-consuming are two different things. The movie "Hayat" was much more difficult than the movie "Bazi". Here we had many more actors. And it was also difficult to shoot in the surroundings. The walks, the location shots where quite tricky. And I had to find the right rhythm, so the audience would accept my story. With "Bazi", the most difficult thing was to make the little girl act like she does.
VThank you for the Interview, Mr. Ramezani. I liked both of your movies very much.
Thank you very much. It's a pleasure to see, that such a smart girl is interested in movies and also in problems of children in foreign countries. I hope that in the future you will be a big, important person.
Oh, thank you.
Good Bye.
