You told me, that „Falling Beauty“ was your first movie. Does it feel peculiar to see yourself on such a big cinema screen

Leyla Belle Drake: Well... (she hesitates) A little. But we have watched the movie six times already. I think this time I liked it best, because we saw it with English subtitles. And speaking in two languages plays an important role in the movie.

Was it difficult to slip into a strange character?

Simon Mezher: It was a big step. Ramon is a totally different person as I am, during that time I lost 15 kg of weight to be a little different.

Do you like your character in the movie?

S. M.: Yes, as I thought about it so intensely, very much. I learned a lot about the guerillas. And I can speak English with a Columbian accent now.

L.B.D.: Yes, I liked it, but Ninni is very different to myself. In the beginning I couldn't understand her behaviour, but after some time I got to know her and learned, where it all came from.

What did you think about the script when you first read it?

L.B.D.: I liked it right from the start. I just couldn't imagine to play the character of Ninni. She appeared very strange to me.

What do you think is the main topic of the movie?

L.B.D.: It is about parents who don't take care of her children and therefore make life difficult for them.
