God is the fathoer of all of us. Does that mean, he is Tommy's father, too? For a long time he has believed so, but he would have preferred somebody in flesh and blood, e.g. for playing football.
This is a very fond movie about the aspirations of a priest's child. But this particular parentage is only hited at, therefore for seven-year-old children it is hard to comprehend.
